Hi! My name is Sydney and I am a birth/abortion/miscarriage doula and a photographer. I grew up in Takoma Park, MD, and now attend the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor. I am majoring in Global and Community Global Health and minoring in Gender + Health and Anthropology.
I am DONA-trained for birth doula services and trained in abortion/miscarriage care by the Colorado Doula Project. I have experience as a volunteer doula with the Dial-a-Doula program, as well as private doula work and an internship with a home-birth midwife. Please visit the ‘Doula Services’ page for more details.
I started photography 7 years ago, while working for my high school’s online newspaper, Silver Chips Online. I’ve now worked for the Michigan Daily’s photo staff as an Assistant Editor and Staff Photographer. I’ve completed a variety of assignments for the Daily and other events and sessions outside of that work, as well! Check out the ‘Photography Services’ tab to view my portfolio and contact me!
